I had the pleasure of meeting Miss Emelina yesterday for her newborn photo session. She was so excited to see me that she didn't fall asleep the entire time! Thats ok! Those big brown eyes were meant to be photographed.

Baltimore Infant Photographer - {Miss Emelina}
Baltimore Child and Family Photographer- {Epple and Jenkins Family}
I had the pleasure of meeting up with the Jenkins family along with another for a big family photo session. They wanted to get a big family portrait for their parents 40th Anniversary. It was a perfect day at Jerusalem Mill Village. The overcast made the lighting just perfect. These kids were super cute! Nice job coordinating your outfits. You all looked lovely!

{Time to get down on the ground} Photography Tips for Parents
Ok parents... Welcome to my first lesson! This section of my blog is to help all of you out there that love taking pictures of their children, but need a little help doing so.
When I first started taking pictures I quickly realized that this business isn't for anyone that has weak knees! This is a great tip since any parent with any type of camera can benefit off of this tip. I'm sure you have seen the picture where the child is looking up at the parent, squinted eyes, big head and little body. How would you like to look up in all of your pictures? Its unnatural, uncomfortable and rarely looks good when you photograph kids this way. So parents, its time to get low.
When I photograph kids I don't personally dress up at all, since I know that half of the time I will be kneeling, and some I will even be on my tummy. This is such a vital part of photographing children. You will be running around, bending down, getting up, running around more, getting on your belly, getting up, ect. Its actually a workout!
Your Homework
Browse your pictures and take a look at all of the photos you took of your child looking up at you. This week take a picture of your child outdoors looking up at you, then get low at their eye level and take it again. Get even lower and take it while laying on your belly and see what you get. Take all 3 pictures and post it to my profile so I can see that you passed lesson 1!
